How to make Christmas bow step by step
You can make single, double or triple loops. All look very beautiful and decorate with all the Christmas decorations. Separate several tape sizes, the wider ones can decorate larger spaces, while the smaller ones are perfect for small details.
Simple lace
Separate a woven ribbon, decorated or satin, of the desired width to produce the bow and a smaller satin ribbon, plastic tape or golden cord to secure it.
Cut a piece of ribbon to the size you prefer. The bigger, the longer the bow. If you have never made a bow before, we recommend starting with 80cm of ribbon. Fold the ends of the ribbon inward, one on top of the other, pulling the right end towards the left side and vice versa.
With the satin ribbon, wire or golden cord, wrap the center of your bow to give shape. Make several turns to secure it well, if necessary, tie a knot. If the loop is crooked, just give it a few light pulls to keep both sides balanced.
At the end, cut off the excess wire, ribbon or cord, leaving only a small piece that will serve to secure the Christmas tree or another desired location.
Another way to make the tie simple is to start by making a tie with the ribbon and pressing the rounded part exactly in the middle. Turn it over and use the plastic tape or satin ribbon to tie the middle of the bow. Finish by adjusting the ends, the way you prefer, the important thing is that they are the same size.
A nice tip for the ends, which can be used in all ties is to cut in a V shape.
Double loop
Separate a woven, satin or decorated ribbon and thinner satin ribbon, golden cord or plastic ribbon to secure the double loop.
To make the double loop you will need two pieces of the thicker ribbon, chosen to make the decorative item. It is recommended to use the wire model, to make the ornament more firm. Start by cutting the larger piece. It is your choice, according to the size of the bow you want to make.
Then cut the smaller piece. Ideally, it should be equivalent to half the larger tape, to be more balanced. Wrap the larger ribbon as if you were going to draw a circle. The ends of the ribbon must rest on top of each other. In the same location, in this case.
Place the smaller ribbon on top, exactly where the ends of the larger ribbon are. Tighten the circle you created, with the smaller ribbon facing up. Cut a piece of the satin ribbon, it needs to be a longer piece, so that you can attach the ornament to the Christmas tree or wherever you want to place it.
Tie in the middle of your bow and straighten it. As it is a double loop, one of the parts is inside the other, pull, so that the smaller one appears.
Another way to make the double loop is to touch the two ends of the larger ribbon, as if to make a circle and then tighten the circle in the middle. Repeat the same process with the smaller ribbon and use the gold cord or satin ribbon to secure the middle of your double loop.
Triple Loop
For the triple loop you will need a thicker ribbon and a slightly thinner one. You can bet on different colors, to give a more striking effect. With the thicker ribbon, repeat the whole process described in the previous topic, to make the double loop.
You can follow the step by step until the end. The ideal is to follow the first way to make double loop that was taught. You must tie the bow with the satin or plastic ribbon.
Take the thinner ribbon and repeat the entire process to make a simple bow. You can use any of the tips to make a simple bow. Tie normally. Finally, take another piece of ribbon or golden thread and tie the two ties together, attached by the center. So you will have your triple loop.
