Turns and moves a new wave appears among the kids. After slime, the fashion is now paper squishy.
Do you know what paper squishy is? The idea is very simple: a drawing on paper with two sides (back and front) filled with a plastic bag and finished with a covering of adhesive tape of the Durex type.
Basically, paper squishy, which in English means something like “soft paper”, has the same function as slime and those squeezing balls: to induce relaxation and relieve stress.
In other words, you squeeze, crumple and the squishy paper returns to its original shape, as if it were a pillow, but instead of being made out of fabric, it is made out of paper.
And, between us, in times of pandemic it’s not just children who need it, is it?
There is one more cool thing about paper squishy: it can be easily made by the child, encouraging creativity and manual activities.
So let’s check out how to make an amazing squishy paper and still be inspired by several models? Stay here with us.
How to make paper squishy
Ready to get your hands dirty? Then write down the list of materials to make the squishy paper:
- White or colored bond paper (according to what you intend to do)
- Template with chosen design
- Plastic bags or bags
- Transparent adhesive tape, of the Durex type
- Scissors
- Colored pencils, pen, crayons, ink and whatever else you want to use to color the drawing.
Step 1: Transfer the template to paper with the help of a pencil. Remembering that you need two identical molds to make the front and back of the squishy paper.
Step 2: Paint and decorate the mold as you prefer, using pen, paint, colored pencils or crayons. It’s even worth applying a little glitter to make it even more beautiful. Then, if necessary, wait for the mold to dry.
Step 3: Wrap the template with adhesive tape so that the paper is “plasticized”. When doing this, join the two molds together from the sides and from the bottom. But keep the top part open to fill with the bags.
Step 4: Fill the paper squishy with the plastic bags until they are soft.
Step 5: Close the top opening with tape and reinforce the sides so they don’t open.
Your squishy paper is ready. Now just play and have fun!
